Mexican guitarist Missael Fragoso graduated with Honors from the Escuela Superior de Música de la Ciudad de México (INBA) under the direction of composer Ernesto García de León. In 2015 he travelled to Germany to pursue postgraduate studies in music performance. After 5 years of studies at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf, Missael Fragoso obtained a Master’s degree in Music Performance and the postgraduate degree Konzertexamen with the highest qualification ‘Mit Auszeichnung-Cum Laude’ under the tutelage of Professor Alexander-Sergei Ramirez.
He received masterclasses in interpretation with distinguished teachers such as: Liat Cohen (Israel), Gabriel Guillen (Venezuela), Mauricio Hernández Monterrubio (México), Goran Krivokapic (Yugoslavia), Andrea Causapruna (Italy) , Eduardo Garrido (Spain), Carlos Pérez (Chile), Claudio Marcotulli (Italy), Martin Pedreira (Cuba), Enric Madriguera (USA), Jorge Cardoso (Argentina), Edoardo Catemario (Italy), Dimitri Kotronakis (Greece), Aniello Desiderio (Italy), Hubert Käppel (Germany), Tilman Hoppstock (Germany) and Roberto Aussel (Argentina).

Awards during his studies were scholarships from the Mexican Ministry of Culture in the categories “Development of Artistic Groups FOECAH” (2009/10) and “Individual Artistic Development” (2011/12). In the national competition of the guitar ensemble “Felipe Villanueva” his duo Yo-ho B-ida won the first prize of honor in the 2010 edition. Missael Fragoso was also awarded the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Scholarship for Musical Talent and Achievement in 2015 and 2017.
Missael Fragoso has accompanied various artistic projects in an interdisciplinary way (singing, dance theatre, contemporary dance, radio works, short films and poetry works). The young guitarist performs mainly in Europe and Latin America. Parallel to his work as a concert guitarist, he has also worked as a committed teacher in different pedagogical projects.
